INDUSTRY AND ENERGY

Knowing where energy goes is the first step to managing it.

A single overall figure may not explain what is happening in a business. To assess a peak, distinguish demand across departments or determine the energy cost of a job, you need to decide what to measure and relate the information to the work being done.

We bring measurement and control experience to help your technical team define an approach: collect useful data, interpret it and assess possible improvements.

From measurements to decisions

  • Data acquisition: identify measurement points, signals and devices to connect.
  • Submetering by department and process: measure internal consumption separately and relate it to production data to determine the energy costs of batches and jobs. This helps assess energy's contribution to individual processes and improve cost accounting accuracy.
  • Fiscal meters and reporting: collect readings from fiscal meters and prepare electricity reports to support excise duty accounting and consumption declarations to the Italian Customs and Monopolies Agency (ADM).
  • Load management: assess priorities and control logic compatible with operational requirements.
  • Integration: connect instruments and systems through interfaces and development suited to the project.

Understand first, then act

When a business wants to address demand peaks, we start with the loads involved and the operational constraints. Only then do we assess which loads can be managed, and under what conditions.

The project takes shape through discussion between those who know the process and those developing the control solution. Objectives, verification criteria and expected results must be defined together: value is measured in real operation.
